Sanitation and Recycling Schedule

Effective May 1st, 2010, the village of Ossining will no longer provide sanitation services to CampWoods Grounds. ATNM will begin trash pick up beginning May 1st, 2010.

Trash Schedule

Regular Garbage:    Tuesday and Friday
Cardboard/Newspaper:    Monday
Co-mingles:    Wednesday

Lids on dumpsters must be able to close completely or we will be charged additional fees by ATNM.

Leaves
*Ossining Public Works will pick up leaves at no cost if they are left at curbside in the appropriate, recyclable bags.  LEAF BAGS MUST BE AT CURBSIDE ON SUNDAY EVENINGS—NOT LEANING AGAINST THE FENCE.

Bulk trash
Neither ATNM nor Ossining Public Works will pick up bulk trash.  If you have bulk items you can do one of the following:

  1. Hire a private company to remove the bulk items
  2. Notify the OCMA Board via the CampWoods mailbox describing the item(s) that you would like to dispose of. OCMA will respond with an estimate of the cost. Once OCMA receives a check (made payable to OCMA), you will receive a sticker that you must place on the bulk item(s).
  3. Bulk items can only be left outside the dumpsters after 5pm on the night before trash pick-up (Monday and Thursday.
  4. NO TRASH OR LEAVES SHOULD BE LEFT OUTSIDE THE CAMPWOODS ENTRANCE.

Freon Items
Purchase a sticker from Ossining Public Works or the Ossining Recreation Center. You can place these stickered items at the curbside outside CampWoods grounds, but must notify Ossining Publics Works to schedule the pick-up.

What you cannot put into the dumpsters
*computers, televisions, electrical equipment, large metal items, tires, paint, chemicals, propane tanks (and similar items)

These items can be recycled for free on Westchester County Household Recycling Days. If you cannot bring these yourself to the Household Recycling Day, leave a note for the OCMA Board in the CampWoods mailbox. We will store them
and bring them to the recycling centers on the appropriate days.
